Shprintzen-Goldberg syndrome (SGS) is a rare, multisystemic connective tissue disorder characterized by craniosynostosis, skeletal muscle hypotonia and intellectual disability. It is caused by heterozygous de novo mutations in the SKI gene, encoding the oncoprotein SKI, a repressor of TGFβ activity.
