RAC3

Molecular characteristics

The RAC3-related syndrome is caused by a type of genetic mutation that involves a change in the spelling of the RAC3 gene. Those mutations result in a new protein, interfering with the usual functioning of the protein. We suspect that RAC3 is important in the development of a baby in the womb as well as neurodevelopment in the child once born.
