Biallelic pathogenic variants in LSS gene inherited from each parents are leading to different disorders:
• multisystem disorder called Alopecia-mental retardation syndrome 4
• nonsyndromic hypotrichosis
• congenital cataract
It is a very rare disorder, as less than twenty affected individuals anomalies of the gene have been reported worldwide.
